FREE one-day Paralympic Experience and resource fair at Tropical Park's community center 3/10

Free Paralympic Experience & Resource Fair
Saturday, March 10, 2012, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Tropical Park's community center, 7900 SW 40 St., Miami.

The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department in conjunction with several of its local Paralympic partners will present a FREE one-day Paralympic Experience and resource fair.

The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, as a Paralympics Sport Club, in conjunction with several of its local Paralympic partners, including the City of Miami Parks, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, CCDH-All Children Together, Shake-A-Leg, and Jackson Memorial Hospital, will present a one-day Paralympic Experience and resource fair on Saturday, March 10, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Tropical Park's community center, 7900 SW 40 St., Miami. As part of the festivities, children and adults with physical and visual disabilities will learn about and engage in adapted sports activities that include kayaking, wheelchair basketball and tennis, hand-cycling, Goal-ball, and more. The event, being hosted by the Miami-Dade Parks Disability Services Division, is open to the public and admission is FREE.
