On June 2, we will feature the Boston-based classical guitarist Adam Levin who will present a program comprised of works that he commissioned during his residency in Madrid, Spain as a Fulbright Scholar, Program for Cultural Cooperation Fellow and Kate Neal Kinley Fellow.

The repertoire shows diversity in musical languages, representing the four generations of living Spanish composers. Adam embarked on this project to answer his curiosity about music composed after the great nationalistic period, which included composers such as Albeniz, De Falla, Granados, Rodrigo and Turina. His quest led to commissioning thirty of the finest Spanish composers.

The project culminates in a 4-volume encyclopedic recording on Naxos and an 8-volume complimentary score publication.

With the support of the FETA Foundation, Centro Cultural Español, Harold Golen Gallery, SCFA and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
