The festival will open on Thursday, December 6 (8-11PM) with the continuous screening of twelve stunning works for computer video and sound. The programs on both Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8 will be enriched by an afternoon electronic music performance fair (5-7PM): the attendees will be able to acquire an original custom-designed ringtone produced by the music robotic machines and the homemade analog synthesizers.
For centuries, the street has engaged a discourse between the
artists and society whether through performances, happenings or exhibitions.
Expanding the tradition to the digital domain, we are bringing electroacoustic
music, art and performance to the streets of Miami’s Wynwood District.
The
festival aims to reinvigorate the contact between the experimental and the
public during this year’s Art Basel Fair Miami, featuring video screenings and
real-time performances by a laptop orchestra, music robotic machines,
sensor-embedded belly dancer, human beatboxer virtuoso, homemade TV and table
analog synthesizers and multimodal headdresses.
The line up includes local and
national names such as Taylan Cihan, Aurie Hsu, FLEA: FIU Laptop &
Electronic Arts Ensemble, EMMI: Expressive Machines Musical Instruments, Kyle
Evans, Adam Matta and Kim Yantis.
