Join the Tropic Botanic Artists for Macroalgae: Hidden Colors of the Sea during the SOMI Art Walk at TAS! Start off at the Historic Doc Thomas House and then join the rest of South Miami's art stroll.
This event is free and open to the public.
The display will include nearly 27 fine quality botanical watercolor paintings and 3 herbarium display frames representing the three categories of local macroalgae - green, red, and brown - found in Biscayne Bay during BioBlitz2010.The exhibition will blend together the studies of science and art; a practice steeped in a long tradition and highlights the beauty of these small local macroalgae.
The exhibit will be at the Doc Thomas House for the month of March. 30% of the proceeds sold will benefit Tropical Audubon Society.
Enjoy current Miami events for all ages such as live music, art walks, open bars, festivals, networking and much more.

Enjoy the Miami Winter and support nature photography! Join Nancy & Bruce Moreland, photographers and long-time TAS members, during the SOMI Art Walk. Start off at the Historic Doc Thomas House and then join the rest of South Miami's art stroll. This event is free and open to the public.
Bruce and Nancy Moreland like to spend their time exploring nature. Nancy is a wildlife and nature photographer. Bruce takes videos and helps mat and frame her creations. Their vision is to connect people with nature, to protect threatened and endangered species and the natural environment, and to inspire people to visit their state and national parks.
Nancy and Bruce's photography will be at the Doc Thomas House for the month of February. 30% of the pieces sold will benefit Tropical Audubon.
